I just got a new Pfaltzgraff catalog today that has the new miniature for this year in it. It is the Pfaltzgraff Yorktowne Soup Tureen. They also have a shelf unit available for displaying the whole set. After what we had heard about Pfaltzgraff last fall I did not expect to see them completing this set.
i just ordered mine.the cabinet is on backorder.i wish we could have one of the pieces be from america.that would be a good question of the week.what piece would you choose?i have to think about that one.anyway if you do order you get a free bud vase and a percentage off the order.not a bad deal. debbied
I have all of the bicentennial set so far, but I don't know if I will purchase this Yorktowne piece. I wish I could remember what all the final pieces were planned to be - there was a photo of them at one time at the Folk Art collectors club site. There was suppose to be a set of miniature mixing bowls, one more crock and something else... but I don't remember it being a mini Yorktowne soup tureen. Maybe Eileen or another member from the Folk Art club that visits here will remember and let us know.
I do really like the shelf unit but I don't have a use for it as my set is scattered around a couple rooms and I wouldn't have a spare space to put it up anyhow!
I too ordered the miniature and the cabinet. I have all the pieces so far but I think it would look much better to have one of the 3 minatures in America in the cabinet instead of the mauve/green vase.
