America Find

Last Thursday I stopped at a mission store in my area.  In the houseware area on a low shelf I found 2 America chargers, marked $1.99 each.  I took them to the counter to pay for them, where I found out they were half price.  The one on top was the Dog Charger and I really didn't look at the lower one until she was wrapping it up - when I saw that it was the Elephant Charger.  .......I  found that so funny, to get an Elephant Charger for $1!  When I got my original Elephant Charger back in the days of the Ebay wars I am sure that I paid over $100 to finally get one ( I don't know what the amount I paid actually was).  So don't give up on checking those resale shops.  Once in awhile you find something!!        (Margaret, you can use this story in the newsletter if you have a spot to fill).

What an awesome find!  And such an unbelievable deal too!!  I can't beat your story, but, I've a couple good ones....A few years ago I found the America fruit mold at my local goodwill for $3.95!!!  More recently I found the America deviled egg platter for $3.00 at my favorite flea market.  Can't wait to run into the lamps smile.gif

Don't be so hasty about dismissing your fruit mold find.  One sold on Ebay Easter Sunday for $405!

I watched that auction, it was the colored mold pictured at the top of this page.  My fruit mold isn't the "colored" one, just solid yellow...still a rare find, but not as valuable as the colored ones.

The woman who sold that colored fruit mold on Sunday, bought the mold at a local flea market.  The woman who sold my colored fruit mold, bought it at a yard sale-paid about $12.00 for it!  We need to be beating the bushes at local yardsales and flea markets!
