If you hopped in your car right now, what music would be playing?

My radio stays tuned to Big Dog 97.9
Classic rock, baby:)

The radio is always classic rock.  But, mostly play an odd mix of greatest hits cd's right now it's Heart, Collective Soul, Tonic, finally ejected Toby Kieth for Travis Tritt & lastly Sarah McLaughlin.

No radio--I am in the "Dead Zone" for radio signals--at least ones I would listen to!  Hopped in the truck turned on the CD player and out blasted Eric Clapton.  Love his blues.

Miz M - Did you know I got to see Clapton live several years ago? Good thing the arena had those giant screens cause we were so far from the stage I wouldn't have known it was him otherwise. Billy Preston was the keyboard player - good show. Tears In Heaven and Wonderful Tonight are two of my faves.

I remember when Billy Preston was touring with him.  I would really like to see him in person.  Not Bill's kind of music.  I have been to many concerts by myself, Jimmy Buffet and Bob Dylan come to mind.  I would certainly go again if EC came anywhere Centerville Road again.  He made an album of Robert Johnson's music called Me and Mr. Johnson.  I listen to it on occasion.  Robert Johnson was a young unsuccessful bluesman who couldn't make it with his music.  He went to the "Crossroads", as the legend goes, and made a deal with the devil.  He was out of the business for a while and when he reappeared, he was a genuine bluesman.  That part is the truth.  He only recorded about 39 songs, but he is definitely a legend.  Eric Clapton was influenced by him and his album shows his love for Johnson's music.

We have that CD.  Dean's brother, Jim, is a Clapton fanatic.  I don't know how many times he's seen him in person.  He works for American Airlines so he and wife fly for cheap and will fly anywhere just to see EC.  Only reason Dean agreed to go is cause they gave us tickets.  He thinks he has to sit in the first few rows or he doesn't want to go.  We're headed to Tulsa tomorrow to see Celtic Women for our anniversary.
