Question of the Week ~ 09/22/09

What kind of computer do you use?  Desktop, laptop, mini?  Which brand do you prefer?  How about printers - inkjet, laser, wireless?

Inquiring minds want to know.

My computer is a H P. My printer is H P ink jet. I think the mini laptops are really cute but don't know how well they work for people.

My computer is a Dell desktop, printer an HP inkjet. I can't get used to a laptop, hey, it took over ten years for me to regularly use a computer at all.  My preferred brand is the one that works.  When I have any problems I call in either my 30 or 32 year old son who babble on in some foreign language until I tell them to just shut up and fix it.

I've a Dell desktop, hp officejet all-in-one printer.  I also prefer a brand that works smile.gif  Wish I had kids who could fix pc problems, but, when I do encounter problems I just live with (or without) them or try to go around them smile.gif fortunately there's no addiction to the internet and/or the numerous technical gadgets out there for my sake.

Question of the Week ~ 09/22/09

I have a 2002 HP PC, q 2009 ACER 20" monitor, a 2005 Canon injet, several oldie but goodie Sony Mavica FD digital cameras I've picked up recently for less than $12 each and they work, plus a Fuji digital cam gotten last fall. I also got a $20 new keyboard from Walmart last month as mine wasn't punching in right. I updated with a monitor and keyboard last month. Updated the PC last spring with a new hard drive for $100 at the local PC Lab repair shop with the shop copying my programs off the old hard drive onto the new one. Was worth the money and got more hard drive space, too.

Wouldn't know what to buy if I could buy a new one. Probably end up getting a used one from a local PC LAb repair shop and see if they could copy my hard drive and insert in that other used one. This is something I'm thinking about in a few months. i'd like to have a second computer in the workroom where the ebay stuff will be.

Just recently went back to Comcast Internet services after a 3 yr absence. I was on dialup. Man..what a difference! Coudln't access the You Tube stuff on dialup..now seeing videos is a breeze.

I, too, take what works.
