Here in Lancaster County,PA-as with most of the northeast-we are in the starting stages of a major winter storm! Everything is covered already and projections are for about 15 inches of wet, heavy snow, subject to change! It looks like tomorrow morning will be winter wonderland! Hopefully after this we move on to early Spring!
Up to 20 inches so far in South Jersey between Philadelphia and Trenton. We never have 2 20 inch snow storms in one winter. Last year had 6 inches for the entire season. Did get to bum today and read an entire suspense novel "Look Again" by Lisa Scottoline who is from our area. Obviously, couldn't put it down. Also, treated myself to some M&M peanuts which I only eat when we are snowed in. Husband stocked up on real food, I brought in the little bit of "junk"
Be safe everyone. Keep warm (those of us up North!!)
OOPS! This should not be under -America For Sale! The storm is out of here-thank God! We have about 18 inches! I did not have time to read like I was planning! The snow ended and we went out and shoveled and plowed the driveway! Hubby is out back clearing the driveway to his shop yet. The only good thing, the snow was mostly light and fluffy,it was to be a wet heavy snow!According to extended forecast, there is another system that may bring us more mid-week! I love the snow, but this was a bit much! I am soooooooo ready for Spring!
Well about now,I think everyone here would be willing to sell some! It just started snowing again-this is our second storm in less than a week! Another major storm,12-18 inches of snow with lots of wind! The other storm we did not get the winds they were expecting, this one they said we will! We are to have snow through the day Wednesday! Hopefully this is the end of Winter!
We have never had a storm dump snow on the remains of a 20" snow storm before in my entire life and I'm getting old!!! What happened to our temperate climate? We have had much more snow than Portland, Maine!!!
I've got some snow for sale too....half price LOL!!!!! We have a record snow fall here too! I went to work for 1 day last week & so far this week the schools are closed, so I'm thinking MOnday...maybe!
Usually when someone has snow to sell or trade, I am in the market. But it has been actually cold here and we have had several snows. I know, not like you folks up north, but for us it has been unbelieveable. We are also going to get some of the Texas snow tomorrow and Friday. I have been having second thoughts about moving northward and am actually looking at South Florida as a possible new address. Stay warm and safe.
I've often considered S Florida especially since we have friends and family there. My friend did move down there permanently and absolutely hates it in summer to the point that they spent last summer in N Wisconsin. The best compromise for us would be to spend a month or so down there. Someday, maybe!!
Yes, Sonnja, but I don't know the full extent. The tree has lost a lot of leaves. I am hoping that it will have enough left to survive. It has been a wonderful tree and it would be a tragedy for it to perish.
