Debbie Miller is still hoping to complete the book. She has a very demanding job with little free time so she has to work on it in spurts. I would think it will be announced here once it's ready to publish so keep checking back from time to time!
Hi everyone! just wondering if anyone has heard how and IF the America book is still happening... really wanted one thank you for your time!! smiles lynn
Haven't heard anything,I check here almost daily! I keep hoping! Debbie had sent me a message, that she had email addresses and would contact everyone, when it was available!
Sorry gals, I hadn't checked in for so long that I had trouble remembering my password! When the PACC disbanded we decided to leave this site up as it was a 'free' message board and we thought the information might be useful to someone in the future. I tried to check in every few months for a while but lives have a way of changing/getting busy and I guess I forgot all about this site...though I do still love and use my dishes every day! LOL
As far as the book, to the best of my knowledge that has totally been taken off the table. Debbie's husband was killed suddenly in a motorcycle accident well over a year ago. She had no interest in pursuing the project afterward, needless to say.
The plan was for the money that was left in the PACC treasury to be used for publishing the book. But under the circumstances, the bylaws of the club required that any unused funds be donated to an acceptable/nonprofit organization. So... the money was donated to the America Folk Art Museum with the stipulation that it be used to help maintain our beloved Bird of Paradise quilt.
I'm afraid that is all the information I have for now. I will try to check in on a more regular basis!
