RE: 2009 PACC Convention

I can't GUARANTEE that Emeril will be there, but he certainly could be! I sent out invitations for our dinner--you should receive it today. NOLA Restaurnt is fairly close to your hotel--you could walk! Probably a good idea. It is very safe walking around in the French Quarter. I can't wait!

My worst nightmare came true ~ I was without internet ALL DAY!  Talk about withdrawls.  Darn ole thunderstorm.

Sonnja, the pillows, Ivory Black and Hanible, are 12 x 12.

Gotta go ~ Dean's hollerin' about something.

Besides the beautiful pillows Deb has donated, she has also donated one of her fantastic "Americanized" clocks.  (I have one in my shop)  I have received only one bid on all the great auction items?????

Sonnja, a shrimp boil is a kind of party.  You get lots of friends, a huge amount of shrimp, small red potatoes, corn on the cob and cajun shrimp "boil"-a spicy seasoning for 'boil da shrimps'.  Kinda like shrimp ****tail on a larger scale!  A true experience.

Susan, the clock is about 10" in diameter-give or take.  The bidding is very much like on ebay.  You email an attendee with your maximum bid and they will bid for you at the auction.  You send Debbie Miller your winning bid amount and receive your item.
Deb MCCandless, Janyce Key, Debbie Miller are all coming to the convention.

Yummy! I know I'm kinda slow but I can't figure out - oh - I just realized why the first part of the shrimp ****tail was asterisked out. hehehe

Miz M, will we guestimate shipping costs on the items that may be won by remote bidders? That may be something we need to think about.

SusanK-the clock is one of the 9" clocks from Wal-Mart.  It has a dark blue plastic frame.  I just popped the plastic cover off the front and replaced the regular face with a paper face printed with the America dishes.  easy peasy

I also wanted to make clear that the two pillows are painted.  Didn't want any confusion that the design might be quilted.

Thanks for looking:)

Deb makes a good point.  We will add exact priority shipping to the winning bids.

Deb, I think this MB has a dirty mind.  Every time I type the work c*o*c*k, it bleeps me out, i.e., pea**** and shrimp ****tail.  OUCH!

Sorry, ladies! I have looked all through the administration panel and cannot find a list of 'banned' words or find a way to disable a ban on words. Just use a * for one of the letters for now and I will keep working on it!

The borrowed suitcase in is the house and just got back from WM to buy luggage tags. I think I'm set - look forward to seeing y'all!

Hey, Laura ~ if Miz M wouldn't try to post dirty words, you wouldn't need to worry. I'm not kidding, at first I couldn't figure out what the problem was:)

LOOK WHAT I JUST RECEIVED FROM JANYCE!

This basket will have pancake mix, pancake flipper, whisk, an America Batter bowl, and bottle of syrup and a Gravy pitcher for the syrup.  This basket can be used to carry food to pitch-in's and you have a towel to cover your food.  The napkin ring holds the towel when not in use.  The napkin ring is a rooster sort of like our charger.

THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR ME, BILL (HINT)

Did y'all know that you can click on any picture to enlarge it?  I can hardly see this little picture!

Always glad to post a pic and to pass on what little I know!  See ya at Emeril's!  Did you get your invite?

It is 96 degrees today and should be 97 degrees on Friday!  Humidity is always high so it feels a lot hotter----wear something COOL!

Hey, everyone! Sorry to say I had to cancel my trip to the convention cause the mister had a little heart blip Monday and ended up in the hospital. He's home now and doing fine but don't trust him to behave so thought I better hang at home.

Just sent my bid to Miz M on some of the auction items. This is a great fundraiser for the PACC and will hopefully help fund the MB costs in the future. So bid high and bid often!

I'm sorry to hear about Dean...I do hope that he continues to make recovery.  Prayers and thoughts with you.  You take care of yourself, too.  Sue

So sorry to hear about your husband. We went through all the heart stuff last fall. Jake is feeling pretty good now-he says better than he had felt in a really long time-so I guess I can say it was worth all of it. Sorry to hear you had to cancel your trip also-it looks like a really fun time.
