In addition to the mini collection, did you see anything you would like to have? I do NOT want any other pattern but the one I kept thinking was pretty was Napoli. Wouldn't it have been fun to have all those pieces in America?
The china made napoli pattern looks real nice in the catalog pictures, but, I did see the pattern in person awhile back at Linens-n-things & to put it nicely it looked like dollar store stuff. Same for the china made pistoulet pattern which I purchsed via lifetime catalog for my Mom a few x-mases ago...it was horrible. Some of the folk art collectors continue to buy the china made product via by-request & they are saying the quality is getting a little better as time goes by. That's what they say. I did purchase a china made napkin holder in folk art many years ago & then the tea-for-one, which I gave away. Pfz also did a rolling pin as well & this was BEFORE they sold out to lifetime....pfz actually outsourced a handful of items...not sure why, maybe to test the market, guess it didn't work & they figured it better to unload the company. I refuse to purchase china made folk art product a 3rd time. I know most America collectors wish the pattern had continued in the by-request program for awhile longer, but trust me, you all have been spared quite a big disappointment due to the pfz contract with the mafa...you don't have to look at what I feel is a big waste. It's a real joke believe me.
