Great question-it will remind lots of us to put them on the shopping list! I did replace some dish clothes right before Christmas-some old ones were starting to look a little tattered!
Generally speaking, I don't use them. My husband has the bad habit of putting them with the bath cloths and uses them to bathe with. I do have some in the kitchen, but they are mainly for decoration. I go through a lot of paper towels!
I bought dish towels a couple of months ago. I usually try to look at the towels no matter what store I'm in. I'm always looking for dish towels with a basket on it. I buy them and give them to my basket buddies. As a matter of fact, I'm looking for a dish towel with a grape motif to go with a basket that I got an order for. A young man wants to give it to his mother for Mother's Day. He's such a sweetie!
I actually went through the drawer and got rid of some really old worn ones a couple of monhts ago and replaced them when I had a coupon for 30% off at Kohl's and they were on sale as well as the percentage off. I like to change at least a couple with the season change. At least the ones I take out when I have company.
i have to admit i have a thing for replacing towels.my husband uses them to dry his hands after working in the yard,on his truck ,etc. i love nice new towels and sheets!!!
