Does anyone know if any Pfaltzgraff pattern ever had a calendar holder? You know, like the wooden ones Lang makes to hold their calendars? I guess I could glue one of the magnets on top or print something on the computer and tape it, couldn't I? Hmmmmm
Clever idea. I'm actually staring at my Lang calendar holder as I post this. Even hard to find some of the nicer Lang calendar designs unless you go on their site. I used to use only a couple of their artists, but there is such a limited supply available locally. Got one in a calendar store for half price in January. It is just okay and your idea is really clever. Have to think about it
I've been buying Lang calendars for as long as I can remember! I got a calendar holder for myself, my mother and my mother-in-law and I ordered us each a new calendar every year for Christmas. I started out with the Folk Art until they got too dreary, grey and depressing to look at each month. I bought the Sampler one for a few years until the Folk Art design perked up in color a bit. For two glorious years they offered a great primitives calendar...but it must not have been a big seller. I've been getting the Warren Kimble one for the past few years but they are just an alternative to the same old Folk Art again. Wish they would come out with a good primitives one again!!
It's been a long time since I've posted but wanted to chime in on the calendar! I use the Simply Shaker calendar by Karen Cruden, published by Legacy Publishing Group. It fits the Lang holder, but is a bit narrow, just by 1/4 inch or so and will occasionally slide around a small amount, but looks so good with our America! Check it out, you might like it too
Oh, and I always order it from calendars.com because I can't find it locally

I've had Warren Kimble for years, Debbie Mumm, Teresa Kogut, David Wall and, last year, Susan Winget. I may have waited too late to buy one for this year but wasn't sure if I would have my holder at home or at the office, where it's been since we moved from the big house. Interesting to see everyone's choices - thanks for sharing!
Can't think of the artist's name, but the topic was fruit and flowers. Always were great containers with really nicely painted art work in a primitive style. The old ones are in the basement somewhere.
I keep my calendars too mostly as diaries/journals...but, I've always had the same thought as you to frame a few of the pictures
I currently have a real cool Americana by Charles Wysocki. Last year had Barns by Lang. I've had Folk Art & Americana by Lang years past, but can't seem to find any good ones lately hence the Charles Wysocki. I usually shop for mine when the stores are very picked over
I always love the Lang calendars! I don't think many of the shops stocked as many this year, they were really picked out when I did early Christmas shopping. I am sure they did not want to have to mark the extras.
