I got the May 2010 issue of COUNTRY SAMPLER magazine in the mail today. On page 43 is a Hoosier Cabinet full of America dishes!
The contact information at the back of the magazine says to contact Pfaltzgraff about the Americana dinnerware (page 148). I hope they get a lot of calls from interested people.
Does anyone know Betty Alexander from Goodlettsville, Tennessee? The picture was taken in her home.
I saw the photo and forgot to post(thanks!)-it looks great! I wondered if the home was anyone in the club! Many times there are photos which have a few pieces of America, but this person has quite a bit pictured!
I don't remember ever seeing her name on the list of members. I'll have to take a look in the store for a peek at the magazine! I doubt calls to Pfaltzgraff would do any good, the AFAM will never give licensing rights to resume production with the items being made in China...and they wouldn't be of the quality we are accustomed to having if they could make more!
I got my Bicentennial Cookie Train in the mail last week. It's kind of cute, but I wouldn't have bothered ordering it if it wasn't for wanting to keep the collection complete. Just one more to go next spring and the series will be done.
