If this is Pfaltzgraff,it is the Gourmet pattern. I have seen it called brown drip also. Hall company also made a similar pattern. If it is Pfaltzgraff,it should have markings. My sister-in-law had a great collection of this pattern. She sold it when they downsized last year. You can find it on ebay and there are many different pieces in this pattern! Enjoy!

Thank you for your replies. I am just getting it unloaded and sorted. I did notice a some had the markings and some did not. The colors vary also. I think the gal that collected them picked up anything in that pattern.
regardless. I love em!

Thank you

I know the Pfaltzgraff did not always have markings on it. My sister-in-law had pieces which did not. She knew all the pieces and even had old catalogs and brochures which she sold with her set. She also had some Hall pieces which mixed very well with the Pfaltzgraff-it was very hard to tell them apart. I have America and some of the colors also vary-so I would not worry about that! Have you checked Ebay-there is quite a bit of it listed-even for the info. many of the earthy colors are back again so it should be easy to decorate around your dishes,so have fun and enjoy! I like the pattern and the color, sometimes wish I had bought my SIL's when she sold it at the auction house. She had many rare pieces,as well as everyday things and it sold very cheap! They sold large tray lots for a few dollars each!

Just what I needed. Another addiction! I picked up the last box and can't wait to get into it!
Have been surfing e-bay and learning about both company's pieces. Don't imagine I will ever be able to tell them apart aside from markings, but I really don't care. I do need more shelving in my kitchen though...

Thank you.

And more. I think this was the last box. 104 pieces so far. There is a picture of a stein type mug in here. Do you think it is part of the set?

That mug is a Pfg type shape for later patterns. I only had coffee cups with my old set. Maybe later than the early 70's they added them. Someone here probably knows.

I am not sure about the mug either! I know there are many, many pieces to this pattern. My SIL had some really great serving pieces. Some pieces there were even older and newer versions of pieces made. I would be pretty safe in saying my SIL had a pretty complete collection. She had a lot of rare pieces which she paid a good bit for on ebay. It looks like you have quite a collection! When I see my SIL again I will try to remember to ask how many pieces she had and about the mug! She had hers all cataloged and she also knew exactly what pieces she did not have at any given time! It is so sad that it is no longer made in the USA-like so many other items!

The mug is not Pfaltzgraff, possibly Canonsburg Pottery. In the next picture. the covered crock and the casserole without the lid next to it is RRPCO (Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company).

Regarding the marks on the back, on earlier pieces Pfaltzgraff used an inkstamp with black ink, which is very difficult to see, and yes, some were never marked at all.

Sometimes in order to know who made a piece of brown drip, you have to go by the shade of brown and also how the drip is done, or just how a piece is shaped. It can be very confusing at first, but over time you can pick out the subtle differences.
