Pfaltzgraff Bicentennial 10th piece is available

What do you think of the new 10th piece in the Bicentennial series, the George Washington Miniature Crock?

I got a catalog yesterday that has it on the back page.  There is a special in January where you can get 30% off an item so I will probably order it then.

Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas to everyone!

Hi Marie, hope you had a great Christmas! I haven't received a catalog from Pfaltzgraff since summer so I went to the website to see the 10th piece. It looks cheap, I'm sure it wasn't on the original list of 10 items to be produced. I will probably go ahead and order it in the months ahead so I have the full set but I wish they would have done a better job in closing out this series!

I agree that it looks cheap.  The lid looks out of scale for the piece.  Maybe it will be cuter in person.  I do want to finish out the set too, and I guess we can be glad that this will be it.

Did you see the other Bicentennial Collection pieces they came out with?  A salt and pepper set, cream and sugar set, and 2 crock pot set?  They are availabe with the Bicentennial design on, and many of the pieces in other patterns.  I think the salt and pepper set would be cute Americanized.  I may get a set of those.

The piece actually doesn't look as bad in person as in the picture.  I do not like the lid.  It is out of scale for the size of the piece.

I ordered the Bicentennial salt and pepper set and creamer and sugar set, and Christine Adametz Americanized them for me.  They are so cute.. If you look at the Pfaltzgraff Forum you will see pictures of them there.

She is now working on a Bicentennial (Yorktowne) miniature soup tureen.  I can't wait to see that in America colors!  She does such beautiful work.

Since we can't get any more real America I am so thankful to have her to paint pieces for me.  I have a substantial amount of pieces that she has done that go so well for my real America pieces.  I still can't get enough!

Happy spring to you all.  It is cold and windy here in Michigan today.

Marie
